Hello All

I was repacking the boot ready for our trip to Spain/Portugal in 3 weeks (don't panic Mr Mainwaring!)

I have fitted the other new drive shaft at last (Thanks to Nick for giving me a brake back plate so I did not have to strip the old one down)

I was checking that the spare wheel(steel) would fit over the 12mm studs and machining the taper on the spare wheel nuts to a sharper point to fit in the steel wheel.

I was checking the scissor jack and thought that saddle is a bit small?

So this is what I have done(It will not be needed of course!!!!!!! )

Just a nice piece of hard wood with the head of a 10mm bolt turned down to fit the jack hole and the nut sunk in, so should not slip off when in use and not dig into the chassis

I hope that the extra few ounces of weight do not break the camels back?

Roger
