For a year, a geostationary satellite took a pic every day at the time that the terminator, the line on the Earth where the Sun is setting and darkness falls, was just below it. That line moves as the tilted Earth Spins around the Sun, first giving the South Pole sunlight all day, then the North. When the terminator passes through both Poles, everywhere on Earth gets 12 hours of daylight - that's the Equinox! John Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
