spitNL
Took my Spitfire model out of the cupboard. Shape looks pretty good, only the windscreen looks wrong somehow.; maybe it's too big or the angle is wrong. F.
spitNL
Searched for Triumph 3d models, lots of motorbikes, two Spitfires and one GT6. First Spitfire is $60 Front looks odd. http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3ds-max-triumph-spitfire-1500/485414 Second spitfire looks much better. Modelled by someone from Denmark. http://www.wireframed.com/spitfire/spitfire_log.php Don't think the GT6 model is of much use to us, though. http://www.martinaveyard.com/?p=230 Cheers, F. GT6Steve
I really liked that GT6 MK4 concept until I got the frontal view. Kind of lost it there for me. Some magnificent modelling though!
spitNL
I agree Steve, the front looks too Japanese for me, bit like a 350Z. Danish Spitfire looks great. Frederick

spitNL
Put some time in the 3d chassis, front chassis beams(y) were tricky. And had to start over again, cause I hadn't noticed the main beams don't keep the same cross-section along their lenght.(taz) Going to do the rear next, so might need your help to measure some things. DaveNotSoSideways
Good work, well beyond my CAD skills I look forward to the results of your work. Could be ground breaking
spitNL
(taz)(taz)(taz)(taz) Having lots of problems with getting the mesh to load. Surface mesh is ok , volume mesh fails. So far I have only been able to run a succesfull simulation on one beam. > F.
spitNL
After much fustration I can finally get a chassis to run. I had to delete and modify a lot of details, will try to add details one at a time and modify it if it doesn't run. Cheers. Frederick
