SteveA
I'm thinking on using quarter turn Dzus fasteners to secure my airbox to it's backplate and I'm looking for suitable suppliers, any suggestions? The trouble being that will probably only need 8 or so and many suppliers have a large minimum order value or quantity. The plan at the moment is to use clip on retainers, but I'm not too sure about the total panel thickness yet.
Dicky Blighter
RS Components do them, no minimum order but you do have to pay extra on shipping for under £20.00 http://uk.rs-online.com/web/search/searchBrowseAction.html?method=retrieveTfg&binCount=4&Ne=4294957561&Ntt=dzus&Ntk=I18NAll&Nr=AND%28avl%3Auk%2CsearchDiscon_uk%3AN%29&Ntx=mode%2Bmatchallpartial&N=4294955443&Nty=
GHR630
What about the kitcar guys e.g.: http://www.cbsonline.co.uk/
SteveA
Thanks for the links, RS and Farnell seemed to be a bit limited in the range of sizes and CBS don't seem to sell the clip-on retainers, but I have since remembered Race Parts UK and it looks like they can do what I want That's one hurdle done, next up grommets for the ram pipes ??) esxefi
just run a bead of automotive black silicon around where they butt to,only needs tiniest amount, smooth out with finger.done.
SteveA
Nice idea, but that would of course rely on me measuring the distance between the ram pipes accurately enough to have only a very small gap between to pipes and the baseplate
