The car is still sleeping, however first signs show up entailing work for the wintertime. I like the winter in the workshop

As it is cold outside in the garage, more bits and pieces put together in the warm basement. Yes in Germany they will call me a "Warmduscher".

Hi Nick,

I choosed 30mm chokes. However there is a rolling road nearby, this will then tell.

Martin

Interesting - probably a good choice. No reason to go to big unless the head has been seriously flowed.

Which fuelpump are you running? I plan to go red-top / filterking route, but hasn't really decided yet. Will probably choke the spit with 27MM chokes. Just gotta find them first, For some reason all the dellortos I have is supplied with 32MM chokes, which is next to useless on a spit engine.

Cheers

Nick

what is the fault?

?? is there one? Cam follower upside down? :P , full lift at TDC?

Not sure about alloy front-plates myself...... or vernier sprockets - but that's just me.

It was late in the evening and I used the exhaust instead of the inlet of the 1st cylinder :whistling:

So you did.....

I'd have kept quiet about that :P - but thanks for the tip - I have to do this soon (maybe)

So now the engine with T9 gearbox and the cylinder head is in the car.

I tried to trial fit the Weber DCOE´s. hmmmm.

First I decided that I do not need any heating in th GT6.

Second I was pi..ed that the KN filters need room and I have to work on the bulkhead. I love it.

Too late now to hammer in the garage.

As the Mini of my son is in the paint shop, I completed the front suspension, so that when the shell comes back, we can roll it. Otherwise it would block the GT6 in the workshop :pirate: .

yes, the Innocenti Mini Cooper 1300 (B39) is an Italian version of the Cooper S. Twin HS2, 11 stud head with bigger valves, close ratio gearbox, 7,5" disk brakes ...

little steps forward. The custom made speedo cable. I first tried an angle drive, but not enough room. People here call this solution "swan neck".

fits nicely

Why do we do that? Isn´t collecting stamps a wonderful hobby? I think I will have a beer first .

At least the background is wonderful colourful.
