Nick I saw it passing the road, but as I was going 80 MPH I didn't want to steer round it. It gave a good bump. Those hard springs does really transfer everything! The smell after hitting it wasn't pleasant, but luckily it wasn't anything like Daves "Rabbit a la Maniold" ;D I did not notice the spines until 700 miles later.
