Hot Shoe!

Hot Shoe! (7/10)

  1. I thought I saw two caps in the picture, but now I am not so sure!
  2. Hi, Maybe you are using the MAP sensor as a barometer? Cheers, Iain.
  3. Hi, For a TR6 engine, I believe the quoted oil pressure is 40 PSI @ 2000 RPM with an SAE30 oil @ 80c. At 80c I believe 20W50 is the same viscosity. I think if you use a thicker oil at 80c you need to aim for higher than 40 PSI. The Chris Witor Triumph Specialist pump clearances are very good. Further work can be done with a Dremel if you are bored. Mine is sitting in a box with 3 kak-looking bolts. Cheers, Iain.
  4. Hi, I thought Alpha-N was TPS only? Does the case make a difference, N vs n? I'm pretty sure the K6 does not have a blending option as it's the same SW that's used on my K3 that does not. Cheers, Iain.
  5. Hi Mark, I did not know you could use MAP & TPS, I thought it was one or the other. I know fueling and spark timing must be one or the other. Is the TPS just functional on acceleration function? Cheers, Iain.
  6. at karls.map Hi Mark, here is my *.map of my K3 from Dave/Karl. How are you able to have MAP & TPS? I wish I had MAP for ignition. Cheers, Iain.
  7. Hi, are you using MAP or TPS for load? Cam sensor? Idle valve or timing for idle control? Looks like an idle valve? What's your MSPB (Under injection timing). Cheers, Iain.
  8. Hi, I have never owned a car with a stop-start system. I have driven a handful. I have also co-drived an S/S car The only person I know who doesn't turn it off. I would put it onto my Triumph if all the switchers were present & the starter motor was OK with this service. It's not going to happen. The S/S car must have an AGM battery or an EFB battery if it's under the bonnet & it can left straight out. My car takes less than 1Whr to start. That's a lot of starts on a modern car, probably 100 starts before the battery could do with a charge. The modern car knows the energy of the battery & the energy direction. The S/S will be disabled if it thinks the battery could be damaged. I have been lucky with an AGM for my Triumph. Cheers, Iain.
  9. Hi, Looks in very good condition. Zero's and calibrates OK. The pump seems ok as the flow is good. I will open it up tomorrow as the flow meter illumination aka lamp goes off if I push hard on the front. Cheers, Iain.
  10. Hi, If it is only CO you are interested in I have a soon-to-be-fixed (Dry-Joint) one of these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/176281472566 Cheers, Iain.
  11. Hi, £132. If it works out of the box I think a bargain.
  12. HI, been looking a HC measuring device for a while. They are not cheap even on AliExpress. I managed to find this on eBay. Sat on a cupboard for 25 years. Boxed and with manuals. Once the missus is out I will bring it in house & check it out. Hope to be able to find out why HC is too high, Cheers, Iain.
  13. Hi, If you are referring to the blue things it's doubtful as they are all on the high-voltage side. I would guess they are just high-voltage Y caps. Cheers, Iain.
