  1. Hi Paul, I have the tr shop springs which are slightly lower and uprated (Front TT4001PR: Fitted Length 6,65, 390 Lbs/in and Rear TT4212PR: Fitted Length 8,85, 420 lbs/in) Boxed up as Classic Gold. The stance I’m very happy with and I have no problems with speed humps. I have 25% uprated rear lever arms and standard shocks on the front, which I may change to koni’s later. No real squat and the ride is comfortable for me, in comparison with my Z4 with 18” wheels it’s about the same. I have 165 x 15 Michelin XAS tyres. I have the standard exhaust system.
  2. Roger, have a look here https://www.brittany-ferries.co.uk/club-voyage/france it says 10% but read this also https://www.brittany-ferries.co.uk/club-voyage/membership-terms-and-conditions I think l may be in breach of my membership contract. Anyway pm me if needed as I see you all as friends. Cheers Kev.
  3. Hi Roger, when others of used it before they have received a discount on the full booking, 10% I think. Yes I get a tenner but up to £100. They have recently changed the card format and pricing for membership but I’ll have look at my membership and see what it says and get back to you. Cheers Kev.
  4. Hi Roger Fantastic trip and enjoyed following your posts, hopefully we will be doing a similar trip again next year but Spain and back up through central France. If you or anyone else goes by Brittany Ferries I have a Club Voyage members card and I could let you or anyone else know my membership number which would entitle you to a discount on your crossings. P M me if anyone needs it.
  5. Nice one Hamish, you lucky bu$$er.
  6. Nice job Hamish, well done.
  7. Definitely not a Lancia Beta Coupe (I have one) but I’m pretty sure it’s a Fiat 128 Coupe.

Hi Pinky Nice car you’ve got there, my eldest son has the 2007 Coupe (over 300bhp) it is a beast. Just before Xmas I bought myself a BMW Z4 roadster as you say, not a lot of money for a lot of car. Compliments the TR6 nicely
  9. Forgot the link https://www.swva.co.uk/classic-car/morris-1800-1970/
  10. P.S. Not heavy duty stuff but OK for light general work.
  11. Hi Graham I use this company for various bits of garage equipment, alway good to deal with and I’ve never had any problems. No connection, just a happy customer. https://www.sgs-engineering.com/air-tools/cut-saws-grinders
  12. My next tasks are to replace the steering column bushes with uprated, LED bulbs for the dash instruments, new oil pressure gauge pipe, and new poly seals for the top of the trunnions as the rubber ones only lasted a couple of years. Was meant to do the at the beginning of the year but had problems with fuel pressure, sorted that out and then the bloody head gasket went.
  13. Hi Paul I may have a spare one if needed, it was off my 72 CP.
  14. Happy Birthday Roger, hope you had a great day.
  15. TRR forum seems to be up now with a very similar format to this forum.
  16. Wayne put this link in a post about lunchtime today:- https://www.tr-register.co.uk/article/2018/09/0157/TR-Register-Forum-planned-works Cheers Kev.
  17. Hi Darren There will be a little seepage of fuel but it doesn’t pour out. There is the same type strainer in the fuel pipe to metering unit too. I have the Lucas pump and there is one there too (you have the Bosch type pump so unlikely there’s a strainer there) which collapsed and restricted the fuel flow which made my car stop. Good luck in finding your problem. Could you borrow a pressure gauge from any one local? All the best Kev.
  18. Yes that’s the PRV. There is a little plastic strainer inside there and probably could do with a clean. Cheers Kev.
  19. + 1 for timing, making sure the dizzy clamp is tight. Also could be plugs especially if NGK.
  20. Hi Hamish. Thanks I’ll carry on with the GB40 then. I have taken my gearbox in and out seven times in the last 4 years (Sticky clutch and various Gearbox, Overdrive issues) on my own but I found it useful to have a ratchet strap from the roof truss via 5’ scaffold pole and around the prop end of the gearbox just to support the weight slightly when pushing the gearbox to the engine. Cheers Kev.
  21. Hi Hamish I am interested to know what gearbox oil Peter recommended to you as when he rebuilt my gearbox (3 times) he recommended Penrite GB40 but I’ve heard that he’s recommending something different lately. Of course what I heard may be completely wrong. Did you have the uprated layshaft with extra bearings? Cheers Kev.
  22. Hi John I bought a one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E21-E30-E12-E28-E34-E23-E32-Brake-Light-Switch-2pin-61311379830-1368786/142914419883?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D52945%26meid%3Dbce30cfe50984ace96164ee8b67e0a8a%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26sd%3D250609981532%26itm%3D142914419883&_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850 for my TR6 and it works perfectly.
