  1. Hi Guys Interesting comments about my GT6R recreation. Firstly; the car was offered at auction with an estimate of £20000 to £25000 based on me selling the sister car a couple of years ago at just over £26000 including buyers commission. The advert, I believe was a misprint. I'm glad it did not sell as the car is fabulous to drive and sounds fantastic. The car is not or never been shown as anything other than a tribute to what may have been; in other words the GT6R. I saw the number plate and thought it appropriate for the car and yes I know that ADU 5B was a rally car. However; who knows what number plate may have been issued, if any and all of the original ADU 1 to 8B plates are not available. So much speculation exists as to what Works car was used for the project. I have spoken at some length to Dennis Barbet who worked at the Triumph experimental department at the time and a most interesting discussion ensued. More about that another time. Yes the car does not have the huge fuel filler but this is a job for the future. As the catalogue description states - 'the car has had on going development since its inception'; certainly more may be achieved. I intend to add the id lights - plexi rear quarter windows with vents and that large fuel filler. ADU 5A is lots of fun and I'm enjoying it. It is what it is and not trying to be anything other. Kindest regards to you all and enjoy the festive season safely.
