Hi everybody,
got a hint from a friend
and found this forum very interesting.

I am Triumph owner for over 30 years
and bought now a new toy
a red Triumph TR6 US carb type
for conversion to EFI with MS 2.

Hopefully I can improve my English a little bit, too,
so please be patient and give me a hint
if something sounds completely crazy.......

Andreas from the middle of Germany (NRW)

Hi Andreas and welcome.

I have two Megasquirt converted Triumph 6s (Vitesse 2L and 2.5PI) and a friend of mine has just started work on his TR6. There are quite few that have been done now so finding information and advice should be no problem.

Your English is much better than my German!

Cheers

Nick

Hi Andreas,
welcome from the middle of Germany as well (RLP, but far north).
EFI habe ich mich wegen TÜV für den GT6 nicht getraut, also werden es Weber werden.
Cheers

Hi Andreas!

You might like to check out a website I put together when I converted mine to EFI.

https://sites.google...triumph2000efi/

I hope it is of some use and saves you some time.

Hi Martin,
ever thought about starting with the WEBERs & TÜV
and than convert to WEBER throttle bodies for injection?

BILAS makes them still in Germany
and all is ready to fit with WEBER DCOE pattern.

No doubt, not worth for the power increase
but a nice workout
and a good start to EFI.

Clubmember of me has a very fast GT6 with 2.5 PI technology.

Hope to hear about your progress in the future!
Andreas

Hi James,
I found these pages before
and believe me or not:
I tried out a lot of similar things already.

The idea with the catchtank was also realised by me parallel!!! Attached File  Catchtank.jpg   52.18K   11 downloads

The fuel rail from Ross was aknowledged to late
otherwise I would have taken this, too.
I wanted to catch the rail with a tin bracket and tie down
but yours is much easier and looks good.

I was ready with my welded rail from steel.
But I decided to make another when I saw yours
and the idea with spacers is brilliant!

The only difference is that I am going to keep the six single throttles
and have the poti attached to one unit Attached File  PI Anlage Drosselklappenpoti2.jpg   130.9K   17 downloads

What is still missing is a msq startup file.
Can I get one from you?

regards
andreas

Hi Andreas,
even triple Weber for the GT6 is a problem, as there is no reference for the TÜV at present for me available :( .
Of course, once Weber´s in the papers, ther might be ideas

but now can add something here.

Had to log-in first *smile*
and than get some more buttons to choose from to press!

Martin, if there is all in the beginning
why not starting with the stock PI,
borrow it somewhere and try to get TÜV
and than take the PI to Megasquirt
keeping the inlet manifold
and bring the metering unit back to where it came from?
