Between F1 and NASCAR I'm almost embarrassed to say I'm a racer. Gawd Bless Australian Supercars!

I haven't watched the news for 5months. I've given it up, it gets immediate muting, load of irrelevent shite, it's someone elses agenda? Why do we need to hear a load of depressing crap everyday? Same crap on every channel.

Aussie super car series seems to get better and better every year, and the Brutes are just epic..like stock car racing at 200mph.
I was lucky to go for a few laps in a v8 super car recently. the acceleration is extremely uncomfortable, cornering is totally counterintuitive and the brakes..well you just mash them to the floor as hard as you can and pray something happens.. theres no finess with these cars what so ever.
Next year they will allow independent rear suspension for the first time. Hopefully that doesnt ruin the action.

Jim roseenthal or whatever his name is made a very good point at the autosport show, if F1 is too expensive for the BBC why aren't they concentrating on promoting the lower formulas, the majority of the time i prefer a F3000 or formula renault race than an F1 race, there are some cracking drives watching young guys fighting for their survival!

NIck and Steve are right,
Last year or was it the year before, it was the 60th anniversdary of F1 at the openimg Abu Dhabi race (?) and they had every living world champion present. I don't know what other channels did with that but the BBC did nothing beyong reportiong the fact, so must presume that it was F1 that didn't make anything of that extraordinary assembly.
£600 for Sky F1? I don't have Sly anyway, so as Dave says, fuck 'em.
And as Matt says, support grass roots racing! To get as close to the action as is posisble, volunteer to marshal.
And Triumph racing does exist! Historics have some TRs and the CSCC Swinging 60s some others.
Forget F1, watch some REAL motorsport!

so all is not lost. But if you do not have Sky or Sky then it is an expensive way to watch half a season.
