Just checking in to this forum as I had read an electrical post ( google search ) and found it good - especially for a complete dead spark like me !!!

Story of car -- Shell bought brand new off ebay with a friend Lee ( floof ) and then the fun began . We had a budget/idea in mind of what we wanted to concentrate on which was chassis/weight loss and weight distribution as the Mini engine was at it's limit really - or so we thought !

12 Months later and the car is almost ready , the chassis preparation by LRS has been amazing , the engine has had a complete overhaul with Rotrex C30-94 chosen , Ric Woods BV head , Tony Law exhaust manifold , GRS Garratt IC , Crower Valve springs , Arias Pistons ,RMW rods etc .

KW Challenge suspension, SPC control arms , Strengthened turrets with castor adjustment, one off T45 cage made , GRP doors bonnet and boot ; Lexan windows , Full flat floor , Radiator in boot

Here's a link to my main site and the build thread if you want to see photos etc

Oh and I have only competed in one season of Time Attack so am a novice albeit a middle aged one

Hi Welcome to the site, nice build indeed. Whats the current output at the wheels???? Hows the Tony Law exhaust working out for you??? I've had many people say he makes the best. However Never have his and another aftermarket been tested back to back.

Either way welcome(p.s. add some pic's to get everyone talking, we love pic's).

Chris.

Sorry to be dim but what is it? I suppose I could skip to the last page and see the finished version to figure it out but the fabrication pages are too beautiful to skip.

Well - that's some build thread  Lot of attention to detail there. Think it's fair to say your budget is higher than we are used to!

What are you actually going use it for? Ah, spotted it - Time Attack - one on the track at a time against the clock - like sprinting? Seems the series rules give you are fair bit of leeway anyway which makes for an interesting build.

Steve - having the site name wasn't a clue for ya?
Not sure I could live with brownpants and floof as names unless I was gonna finally squeeze out of the closet, but the car's slick.

Yup, I see it now, Minitorque. Doh!

Is one hell of a bit of craftsmanship represented there...Posted Image

This is certainly a pro race car build, and very impressive welds! I'm curious about the rear mounted rad - what's the thinking behind that?
