DaveNotSoSideways
Here's a few very old videos from the Ring, in a 95HP Opel Astra Estate The car was so bad you could never get the apex speed to the exit and couldn't make use of the 2metres of extra tarmac always left on the outside of any tight corner! It was a heap of shit, I did 38laps in it over 3 days! Lol! I had to reduce the tyre pressures 15psi under book to get them to last two laps without turning into bricks! You need to wait for all the video to download before it will play 10mb max...its AVI format. http://www.btinternet.com/~tweatiepie/hazten.AVI http://www.btinternet.com/~tweatiepie/wipperman.avi http://www.btinternet.com/~tweatiepie/eistcurve.avi http://www.btinternet.com/~tweatiepie/Kallenhard.AVI Bit of FUN nothing more, nothing less! Gerard
Belgian plates? Was it a diesel? I've always hate Opel/Vauxhall... except the GT in the 70's, and I could probably put up with the thing nicked from Lotus ;D I mean, My Citroën is rubbish, but at least it has a chassis to speak of... DaveNotSoSideways
You should get the car to one of Castle-Combes actiondays or something, stick a camera in it and I'll gladly take it round for a session (I have 3rd party cover on any car)...Can't really except any responsiblity though, you understand...not saying its likely to end in tears, but shit does happen Maybe in the future! Jony
nice one debs, was it just me or was it really slow off the start? or was that just the guy next to ya flying off? 14.5/6 though is good!
Debs
I purposely sat on the line after the green light because I was aiming for a good E/T, I wasn't aiming to directly race the Caterham. According to the Timing Slip, I launched 1.9 seconds after the Caterham, but I crossed the line less than a second behind him and with a far better E/T - his was 15.7 secs. The following day he blew his motor, and I set a P/B of 14.001 secs @ 101.08 mph.

knackerjack
Here's one from last year at CC. Knackerjack is the co-pilot Ah a good day I was in the car with the better driver. Those Beemers have 180bhp standard and an exccellent track car, but I think the Dolly did bloody well. Its now over 6 months since I drove my Sprint aaaaaaaaaaaaah soon soon. DaveNotSoSideways
Amusing Video, sums up the "action days" quite nicely Good to see you using the video tags! Bloke the BMW needed to learn to brake, now owning a BMW I testify that my 525i stops like NOTHING I have ever driven!
webermaniac
A bit of fun we had during Neste Rally 2007 when the Ruuhimaki stage wasn't closed for public. VW Passat Variant GT 2.0 / some editing & fx <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ul2-8sKfmyU&hl=ru&fs=1"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ul2-8sKfmyU&hl=ru&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ul2-8sKfmyU&hl=ru&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
GT
That was in Finland in summer btw. You went there from Russia-SPB?
webermaniac
Yes, and we drive there every year from Moscow via Spb ~1250km. This is actually the most famous finnish stage together with Ouninpohja. The video is of course accelerated but the result is fun
Mad Mart
More Action Day footage from Castle Combe earlier in the year...Got the camcorder mounted a bit more stable.
thebrookster
Is it just my imagination, or does the Jag put out noticeably more smoke out of the exhaust as the session went on??
DaveNotSoSideways
Nice oversteer @ 5.08... Goes arite that Jag for a slug from the 1950's...commited driving. Sure it wasn't on the run from a bank job? Looked fun that Mart. Think you know your way around Combe now. Probably more smoke as the oil overheated/thinned?
