exhaust manifold on 2500 / tr6

Hi all,

 

I am sure this has been covered before but here goes.

 

I have a 2500S with the standard exhaust manifold, I also seem to have acquired a TR6 manifold from my spare engine.

 

Heres the question, is it worth fitting the TR6 manifold? Does it have better flow? will I get better power?

 

Presumably I will need to make or scavenge a downpipe to adapt to my current single pipe Witor sports system.

How did you go?

 

I am about to try the same setup - postage was just too much for the chris witor extractor setup & exhaust for me.

- quoting a tr6 racer in the day tr6 manifold 'plenty good'

 

There is a old school of thought, that dual pipes giving same area as 2" are better for low & mid range end response - so was considering a full length dual exhaust.
